“Adil, let’s plan for some pleasant place before the severe winter starts”, Said me.
I was in Pattoki, Qusoor – Punjab at Adil’s home while returning from a more than 5000 Km long bike trip starting from Islamabad and covering Quetta, Kalat, Gawadar, Karchi, Sukkar, and Bahawalpur. “Okay, let’s make a plan to Islamabad and then Nathia Gali starting tomorrow”, Adil replied. It was a cool cum pleasant night of November and we just have visited the world famous Changa Manga Forest during the day time. Our plan got finalized and both of us were waiting for the morning desperately. We couldn’t even sleep well due to the excitement that all of us use to face before starting a trip.
In the morning, we got up, had breakfast, tied up our equipment, tuned our bike and finally started the journey from Pattoki to Islamabad. Though, we had started our journey in at 09:00 AM but we couldn’t reach Islamabad before night and the reason was Lahore. Yes, the City of Living People, Lahore forced us to spend 4-5 hours wandering in the markets of Lahore. We bought some necessary things for our travelling and got the rear tyre changed which was not in a good condition after travelling though Baluchistan and Sindh. Finally we crossed Lahore and keep moving towards Islamabad. We had a traditional and economic dinner at Jhelum and then sipped some Qehwa near Rawalpindi. Finally we reached Islamabad and it was almost midnight. We spent the night in a hotel and slept well.
Next morning, we got up a bit late…
So we decided to have the breakfast somewhere on Murre-Nathia road. Since it was November, so we equipped ourselves according to the weather conditions on Murree and Nathia Gali. Bike travelling leaves you speechless because you can witness the each and every natural moment and the scenic views. Wandering though the green, curved, and cold roads we finally made a sharp cut on Murree Expressway that leads to Murree Mall Road. This road is a really steep and offers the best views of the valley. We witnessed the magical and colorful sunset and reached the Mall Road.
